Those are entry-level nightly rates outside the December–April peak. All seven are room-only by default – The Reef sells an all-inclusive plan as an add-on. All seven sit on the sand; at the Ritz-Carlton, that depends on the room you book (see below). The beachfront resorts hub runs the same test across other islands.
Which Grand Cayman beachfront resort should you book?
For most couples, book Kimpton Seafire. It holds a Forbes Five-Star rating, it's highly rated with Booking.com guests, and it sits at the calmer north end of the beach. Check Kimpton Seafire availability first – December through April is peak season, and winter rates climb fast.
With kids, book The Westin – mid-beach, with a swim-up bar and connecting rooms. For a bigger budget and a proper kids' club, book the Ritz-Carlton, in an ocean-view room. Traveling as a group of six? Book a Caribbean Club suite.

Seven Mile Beach: which end?
The north and middle have the sand. The local guide Explore Cayman describes Seven Mile Beach as about 5.5 miles of powdery white sand and clear water. Kimpton Seafire, the Ritz-Carlton, the Westin, Palm Heights and the Caribbean Club all sit on this wider stretch.
The south end has been losing it. Cayman Compass has reported years of erosion at the George Town end, with the Marriott among the properties hit hardest. The Marriott's rebuilt beach reopened in September 2026 – the first restoration project of its kind on Seven Mile Beach.
The whole west coast is the lee side. In May 2026, Cayman Compass reported sargassum on the south coast while Seven Mile Beach stayed clear, because the easterly trade winds keep it sheltered.

At the Ritz-Carlton, the cheapest rooms aren't on the beach. Entry categories sit across West Bay Road on the North Sound side. Book an ocean-view or oceanfront room if you want the sand outside.
On Seven Mile Beach
Kimpton Seafire Resort and Spa
The all-rounder. Kimpton Seafire opened in 2016 at the quieter north end of Seven Mile Beach, and it carries a 2026 Forbes Five-Star rating – one of a long run of them.
Water views come from almost everywhere: the open-air lobby, the pool, most rooms. Five restaurants and bars keep dinner on site if you want it.

The Westin Grand Cayman
The family booking. The Westin has 343 rooms in the middle of Seven Mile Beach, near Camana Bay. It's big, but it works for children: connecting rooms, free cribs, a swim-up bar and water sports from the sand.
Ocean-view beach cabanas and snorkeling are on site.

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman
The full-scale resort. The Ritz-Carlton spreads across 144 acres from the Caribbean to the North Sound, split by West Bay Road and joined by an enclosed bridge.
The beach side has the ocean-view rooms, the main pool and direct sand. The other side has the lobby and the spa. For kids, the Jean-Michel Cousteau Ambassadors of the Environment program runs snorkel lessons and marine-life sessions.
From around $1,050, but that buys an entry room on the North Sound side. Book this one if you want the biggest resort on the island and you'll pay for an ocean-view room. Check Ritz-Carlton rates.
Palm Heights
The style booking. Palm Heights calls itself the Cayman Islands' first all-suite boutique hotel: about 50 suites from one to three bedrooms, every one facing the sea.
The draw beyond the beach is the Garden Club Spa – an outdoor hammam, saunas, an ice room and plunge pools. It's the top-rated hotel on this list with Booking.com guests.
Rates start around $460, plus a nightly resort fee and a service charge. Book this one if design and a serious spa matter as much as the sand. Check Palm Heights rates.
Caribbean Club
Room for everyone. The Caribbean Club has been on Seven Mile Beach since 1960, and its suites average around 2,700 square feet, with full kitchens and sea-view balconies. Beachfront villas add more privacy.
Luca, its Italian restaurant, is a draw in its own right. It's condo-style, so expect service rather than a big resort's facilities.

Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort
The comeback. Erosion stripped the sand in front of this hotel for years, and it dropped "Beach" from its name. In 2026, a restoration project added 8,000 cubic yards of sand and two low-profile rock structures – and the name went back on.
Rooms were refreshed at the same time. It's the closest of the seven to George Town.

On the East End
The East End is the other Grand Cayman. Its beaches are a rugged mix of sand and rock with seagrass offshore, and Explore Cayman notes they fall into shade after about 1 pm. It's also on the windward side, more exposed to sargassum than the sheltered west coast.
The Reef Beach Resort
The all-inclusive option. This is the old Wyndham Reef Resort, now independent and trading as The Reef Beach Resort, on Collier's Bay. Its studios and condos line the beach, most with kitchens and sea-view terraces.
The all-inclusive plan is an add-on, not the default. It's about 45 minutes from the airport and far from Seven Mile Beach's restaurants.

Also worth knowing
Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman isn't open yet. Hyatt is taking reservations from November 28, 2026 for its 382-room resort at the southern end of Seven Mile Beach, with 900 feet of oceanfront. We'll judge the sand once it's open.
Margaritaville Beach Resort, near George Town, has a kids' club and several pools. It isn't in the grid: the hotel sits back from the water and shares a small cove sheltered by a breakwater, not the open beach. Check Margaritaville rates.
Morritt's Resort is the East End's other beach option – one- to three-bedroom condos on a white-sand beach.

Stay on Seven Mile Beach unless you want all-inclusive or real quiet. Kimpton Seafire is the best all-round stay; the Westin is the easiest with kids.

When to go
December through April is the dry season and the peak – the steadiest sun, the calmest water and the highest rates. May and November are cheaper shoulder months. Hurricane season runs June through November, so check cancellation terms for a late-summer or fall trip.
