Puglia has five hotels where a private pool comes with a specific suite or villa, most clustered around Savelletri di Fasano's masseria belt near Ostuni. Masseria Torre Maizza, a Rocco Forte property, has the widest range of confirmed private-pool suites. Masseria Torre Coccaro, Masseria Calderisi and Masseria San Domenico sit within a few miles of it, and Masseria Longa in Otranto is the only confirmed option further south in Salento.

Masseria Torre Maizza
Masseria Torre Maizza is Rocco Forte's Puglia property, set among olive groves in Savelletri di Fasano near Ostuni. It has more confirmed private-pool suite categories than any other Puglia hotel on this list: the Grand Suite with Terrace Garden and Plunge Pool, the Grand Suite with Private Plunge Pool, and the Two-Bedroom Deluxe Suite with Plunge Pool – the last suited to a family or two couples traveling together.
The property includes access to a private beach club on the Adriatic coast, a short shuttle ride from the masseria itself, alongside the estate's own pools and spa. Rocco Forte's international brand standard means service here is consistent with the group's other European properties.
Savelletri di Fasano sits inland from the coast at the center of Puglia's masseria belt, roughly 40 minutes from Brindisi airport and an hour from Bari.
Masseria Torre Coccaro
Masseria Torre Coccaro is built around centuries-old olive trees in Savelletri di Fasano, a few minutes from Masseria Torre Maizza. Its Olive Suite with Pool has a 60 sqm terrace with a private heated pool, whirlpool bathtub and gazebo overlooking the surrounding groves. The separate Borgo degli Ulivi annex has four Grand Suites, each with its own private garden and pool.
The property runs a free shuttle service to its own beach club, and the estate includes a spa, greenhouse and vegetable garden supplying the kitchen. It is a Guests' Choice winner on Booking.com and one of the more established luxury masserie in the Fasano cluster.
Masseria Longa
Masseria Longa is a seven-suite boutique hotel built into a 300-year-old farmhouse in Otranto, in Salento at Puglia's southern tip – roughly two hours from the Fasano masseria cluster and the only confirmed private-pool property this far south. Suites are set in secluded gardens enclosed by thick hedges, and the Deluxe Suite is available in two configurations: one with a private outdoor pool, the other with a steam bath instead.
Because both variants share the same base suite name, always confirm the pool version specifically when booking. Otranto itself, known as the "gateway to the East," has some of Salento's clearest water and is within reach of Grotta della Poesia and other Adriatic coves.
Masseria Calderisi
Masseria Calderisi sits in Savelletri di Fasano alongside its higher-profile neighbors, and its Il Fortino suite is the most private single unit among Puglia's confirmed pool properties: a small standalone villa, fully separate from the main hotel building, with its own walled garden enclosing a private pool and outdoor shower among lemon and orange trees.
The main property has a restaurant, private beach access and a smaller footprint than Torre Coccaro or San Domenico, which keeps the grounds quieter even in peak season.
Masseria San Domenico
Masseria San Domenico traces back to the 15th century, when it served as a watchtower for the Knights of Malta, and is now one of Puglia's most established five-star addresses, 500 meters from the Adriatic. Its Il Villino villa is the confirmed private-pool category: a two-bedroom, 100 sqm villa in its own garden with a heated pool on a private patio.
The San Domenico Suite, despite being the resort's most exclusive standard suite, overlooks the main swimming pool rather than including a private one of its own – a distinction worth confirming before booking if a private pool is the priority. The estate includes an 18-hole golf course and a Thalassotherapy spa, the widest facility range of any property on this list.
When to go
April–June and September–October are Puglia's strongest months for a masseria stay: warm enough for the pool, with the olive groves and Adriatic coast at their most comfortable before or after the July–August peak, when temperatures regularly exceed 32°C and the Fasano masserie run at full occupancy. Winter is mild but too cool to prioritize outdoor pool time, and some properties reduce services in the off-season. Bari (BRI) and Brindisi (BDS) are the two regional airports; Brindisi is closer to the Fasano cluster and Salento, while Bari has more year-round international routes.
