Guest scores trail the rest of this list, with value for money the most common complaint, but the location and the rooftop are hard to match. Worth it specifically for the nightlife and the view; a more understated stay is better served by the Courtyard or the Hyatt House.
When to go
June through August brings the warmest Atlantic water and the busiest Boardwalk, with the Neptune Festival in late September marking the unofficial close of the season.
