Most of Da Nang's beachfront resorts share one long, straight beach that runs south from the city toward Hoi An. The best of them doesn't. InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort is built down a jungle headland, with a funicular to its own private bay. Six resorts are confirmed directly on the sand, and for most trips Pullman Danang Beach Resort is the value pick near the city. Entry rates run from around $115 to $350 a night.

Those from-prices are entry rates for the coming dry season. Five of the six sit on the same city beach – My Khe in the north, Non Nuoc further south toward the Marble Mountains. The farther south you go, the quieter it gets, and the closer Hoi An is. The beachfront resorts hub runs the same on-the-sand test in 50-odd other destinations.
Which Da Nang beachfront resort should you book?
For most trips, book Pullman Danang Beach Resort. It's the highest-rated hotel on the city beach, it has a quiet private stretch of sand, and it's close to Da Nang's restaurants. Check Pullman Danang availability first – rates start around $117, a third of the InterContinental's.
If the trip is a splurge, it's the InterContinental, no contest. Traveling with kids? The Hyatt Regency or the Sheraton Grand on Non Nuoc.

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort
The splurge. Bill Bensley designed this resort, and it opened in 2012 on the Son Tra Peninsula, a forested headland northeast of the city. It spreads over 39 hectares on four levels – Heaven, Sky, Earth and Sea – connected by a funicular.
At the bottom is a private bay with a 700-meter sandy beach. There are 189 rooms, suites and villas, and the villas come with private pools. Every room looks out over the sea.
The catch is distance. The airport is about 30 minutes away, and you won't pop into town for dinner. Book this one if the resort is the destination. Check InterContinental Danang rates – from around $350, and far higher for the villas.
Pullman Danang Beach Resort
The smart default. Pullman sits on Bac My An Beach, with direct access to a quiet private stretch of sand. It's one of the closest resorts on this list to the city's restaurants and the Han River.
It's a manageable size, with 186 rooms, a large pool, a kids' club and beachfront dining. It doesn't try to be a destination resort. It just does the beach-and-city combination well.

Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort and Spa
The name changed in 2025. Until July 2025 this was Sheraton Grand Danang Resort & Convention Center, and the Booking.com address still reads sheraton-grand-danang-resort. The new name reflects a shift toward leisure and families, though the convention center still operates.
It sits on Non Nuoc Beach with a private beach area and 258 rooms and suites, some with plunge pools. The long infinity pool faces the sea, and there's a kids' club, a playground and a mini water park.
Book this one if you want a big, family-friendly Non Nuoc resort with newer energy than the Hyatt. Check Sheraton Grand Danang rates – from around $140.
Melia Danang Beach Resort
The couples' pick. Meliá fronts a 415-yard private beach on Non Nuoc, one of the quieter stretches on this coast. The design mixes Spanish style with Vietnamese craft, in sand and ocean tones.
Evenings are the draw. An ocean-view pool bar has live jazz, the YHI Spa does Vietnamese-inspired treatments, and Sasa serves Vietnamese and Spanish food.

Furama Resort Danang
The value veteran. Furama is one of Da Nang's longest-running five-star resorts, directly on My Khe Beach with its own private stretch of sand. It has 198 rooms and suites, two outdoor pools and six restaurants.
The grounds are mature and tropical. The trade-off is age – newer builds on Non Nuoc feel more modern.

Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa
The family resort. The Hyatt Regency covers 49 acres on Non Nuoc Beach, near the Marble Mountains, with a private beach and five outdoor pools. It mixes 199 rooms and suites with residences and 23 three-bedroom ocean villas, each with a private pool.
Camp Hyatt is the kids' club, split into indoor and outdoor zones. Parents get Vie Spa.
Book this one if the trip is built around keeping kids busy. Check Hyatt Regency Danang rates – school holidays fill it first.
October and November bring Da Nang's heaviest rain and highest typhoon risk. If your dates fall between September and December, book a refundable rate.
Two names you'll see elsewhere – and why they're not ranked
HAIAN Beach Hotel & Spa is a favorite on the big travel sites. It has 212 rooms and a 22nd-floor infinity pool over My Khe. But its address is on Vo Nguyen Giap, the coastal road, its own site never says it's on the sand, and one listing puts the beach a five-minute stroll away. It's a strong city hotel, not a confirmed beachfront one. Check HAIAN Beach Hotel rates if a sea-view pool is enough.
Danang Marriott Resort & Spa is a bigger naming trap. Until 2022 it was Vinpearl Luxury Da Nang. A separate Marriott, Danang Marriott Resort & Spa, Non Nuoc Beach Villas, was Vinpearl Resort & Spa Da Nang until 2023 – two hotels, near-identical names. The booking listings still mix up the two, so neither is ranked here. If you book, check the full name on Marriott's own page.
City beach or headland: the Da Nang decision
This coast offers two different trips. Son Tra is a self-contained jungle resort. My Khe and Non Nuoc are a city beach with resorts along it.
Pick the InterContinental, and the resort is the whole vacation. Pick the city beach, and you get restaurants, Hoi An day trips and lower rates. If you're not sure, Pullman Danang is the one that covers the most ground.

When to go
The dry season runs roughly from February through August, and the best beach months are spring and early summer, when the sea is calmest. July and August are the hottest and busiest.
September through December is the rainy season. October and November are the wettest months and carry the highest typhoon risk. Storms don't hit every year, but when they do they can close beaches and disrupt flights.
If you're planning now, you're booking the good months ahead. Lock in a February–August room early, and keep any fall dates refundable.
