Cyprus does not have a private-pool district. The five hotels with a confirmed pool per unit sit on three coasts that feel nothing alike – empty Akamas headland, the Limassol resort corridor, and walkable Paphos – so the real decision is which island you want, not which pool. Every pool above belongs to one unit and is not shared with other guests – checked against each hotel's own room pages, not its marketing. That check matters more in Cyprus than most places, for reasons covered further down.
Which Cyprus private pool villa should you book?
Book Anassa. It is the highest-rated hotel here, and its Akamas setting cannot be replicated further down the coast: the shoreline around it is national park rather than more hotels. The Two Bedroom Suite With Pool is built around a terrace pool over Chrysochou Bay.
Check Anassa availability before comparing – it closes from early November to the end of March, so the season is shorter than the rest of this list.
If beachfront matters more than seclusion, book AMARA – the cabanas sit steps from the water with Nobu and Locatelli on site. If you are traveling with children, book Parklane, the only property here with two and three-bedroom pool villas. If you want a sea view at the lowest sensible price, book Columbia Beach Resort. And if you want to walk to dinner rather than drive, book The Annabelle by Paphos harbor.

Anassa Hotel
Anassa sits above the fishing harbor of Latchi at Neo Chorio, where the Paphos district runs out into the Akamas National Park. It is a Leading Hotels of the World member, built low and white-washed in the shape of a Cypriot village around a quiet bay, with 166 rooms.
The Two Bedroom Suite With Pool is the private-pool category: a two-bedroom layout with its own pool on the terrace, marble floors and sea views across Chrysochou Bay. The pool is reached from the suite terrace and has no connection to the resort's three main pools.
Note the shape of that. There is no one-bedroom pool option here, so the category suits two couples or a couple wanting space, not a compact honeymoon suite.
What you are paying for is the emptiness. The coast either side is undeveloped, not lined with competing resorts – the opposite of Limassol.
The trade-off is the drive: roughly 90 minutes from Larnaca, or about 45 from Paphos, which is the airport to book. The hotel also closes for winter, taking its last guests in early November and reopening at the end of March.

AMARA
AMARA is a 207-room beachfront hotel at Agios Tychon, east of central Limassol, and the only property here where the private pool sits on the sand rather than in a garden or on a cliff.
The 1 Bedroom Cabana with Private Pool and 2 Bedroom Cabana with Private Pool are the pool categories. Each cabana is a ground-floor unit set apart from the main building, with its own pool on a furnished beachfront patio and a path down to the sea. The pool serves that cabana alone.
Dining is the other draw, and it is unusually strong for the island: Matsuhisa Limassol, Nobu Matsuhisa's Japanese-Peruvian room, and Ristorante Locatelli from Giorgio Locatelli.
The cabana format is closer to a standalone unit than a hotel room, and the two-bedroom version gives it a villa footprint without leaving the beach.
Book this one if you want to step from your own pool onto the sand. Check AMARA rates – the cabanas are a small, fixed number of units on a busy stretch of coast.
Parklane
Parklane is a Marriott Luxury Collection resort at Pyrgos, east of Limassol, with 222 rooms, 34 suites and – the part that matters here – 20 Park Villas, each with a private pool. Interiors are by Harrods Interiors.
The villas are semi-detached, set in the resort's landscaped grounds, and come in one, two and three-bedroom configurations with a dedicated butler included. That range is what makes this the family answer on the island: nowhere else in this guide sleeps six with a pool of its own.
The Luxury Collection badge is a genuine Marriott brand, so villa stays earn and redeem Marriott Bonvoy points, and adding a member number brings Gold Elite benefits and bonus points. For regular Marriott guests that changes the effective rate.
Two practical points. The villas sit roughly 100 m back from the water, so this is a resort with a private beach rather than a beachfront villa. And with 20 of them, availability holds up better than at the boutique properties here – last-minute stays are realistic outside July and August.

Columbia Beach Resort
Columbia Beach Resort has Pissouri Bay, a sheltered cove roughly halfway between Limassol and Paphos, largely to itself. It is a Small Luxury Hotels of the World member built around a lagoon-style pool close to 80 m long.
The private-pool category is the Executive Suite Sea View Eagle's Nest with Private Pool – 60 m², set on a hillside above the main resort, with its own terrace pool and a panorama across the whole bay.
Being above the resort is both the appeal and the catch. The view is the best on this list at the price, and reaching the beach and restaurants means a walk downhill or the hotel shuttle.
The bigger catch is scarcity: the Eagle's Nest is the only confirmed private-pool category here, so peak summer weeks go long before the multi-villa properties fill.
Pissouri itself is a quiet village rather than a resort strip, which is the point for guests who find Limassol and Paphos too busy.

The Annabelle
The Annabelle is the closest hotel in this guide to a town center: it faces Paphos harbor across tropical gardens, and the Old Town, the archaeological park and the restaurants are a five-minute walk rather than a drive.
Its pool category is the Studio Suite With Private Plunge Pool, on the ground floor. The suite runs 35 m², and its 27 m² terrace holds a private plunge pool measuring 3.2 m by 4 m, looking out over the harbor. It sleeps two.
That is a real pool rather than a tub – large enough to swim a stroke in, private to the suite, and roughly the same footprint as the terrace it sits on.
The rest of the hotel is a full 5-star: a free-form main pool with swim-in caves, a rooftop spa, and four dining rooms including the fine-dining Amorosa. Paphos Airport is about 20 minutes away.
The guest score is the lowest on this list, which reflects the whole property rather than the pool suites, and it is still well rated on Booking.com.

In Cyprus, "private pool" is applied loosely enough that a well-known hotel can be recommended for a pool it does not have. Almyra in Paphos is the clearest example: its own site lists 18 room and suite categories, and not one includes a private pool – the pool its terraces overlook is the shared 33 m infinity pool. Its sister property, The Annabelle next door, is where the group's Paphos plunge-pool suites actually are. Always check the category name on the hotel's own room page before booking.
Two more with confirmed private pools, and why they are not ranked here
This is a shortlist, not the full count. Two other Cypriot hotels do have genuine private-pool categories and may fit some trips better.
Aphrodite Hills near Kouklia, between Paphos and Limassol, publishes a private-pool room page listing Deluxe Rooms with Private Pool and Family Suites with Private Pool across its 290 rooms.
It is a golf-and-families resort with an aqua park and kids' club rather than a couples' pool retreat, and it rates lower on Booking.com than everything above. In its favor: 15 minutes from Paphos Airport, and the only place on the island pairing a private pool with a championship golf course. Note it also sells swim-up rooms, which share a pool – a different product.
Cap St Georges at Peyia, north of Paphos, is newer and advertises a private pool with its residence rooms, including a seven-bedroom Akamas Presidential Villa Suite. Confirm the specific category with the hotel before booking – its own site was not reachable to verify category names at the time of writing.
When to go
April to June and September to October are the best months. Sea temperatures sit at 22–26°C, air stays at 22–30°C, and rates run below the July–August peak. This shoulder season is longer and more reliable in Cyprus than in the Aegean, which is the island's real advantage over Santorini or Mykonos.
July and August push air temperatures to 38°C. That makes the private pool the main amenity of the stay rather than a luxury, and it drives the highest rates and tightest availability – especially at Anassa and the single Columbia Beach Eagle's Nest.
November to March brings deep rate cuts on the south coast, where Limassol, Pissouri and Paphos stay mild at 15–20°C with little rain. Anassa is closed for that window.
Fly into Paphos (PFO) for Anassa, The Annabelle and Columbia Beach, at 15 to 45 minutes; Larnaca (LCA) is closer to the Limassol properties at 45 to 60 minutes.
For Greek island alternatives on the same circuit, Santorini has caldera pool suites at higher rates and Mykonos covers the Cyclades, while Crete is the closest match to Cyprus in size and season. Ibiza and Mallorca run an April–October season, and Croatia puts pool villas on the Adriatic.
