Tenerife is the only Canary Island where you can use a swim-up room year-round – the south coast's warm winter sun keeps the water working in January as well as July. Three confirmed swim-up hotels in Adeje and Playa Paraíso have rooms that open directly onto shared pools. This guide gives you the exact room category to book at each, who it suits, and what to pay in 2026. Note: Gran Tacande's "Gold Level Swim Up" rooms have a private plunge pool per terrace – not a shared pool – and are not included here.

MYND Adeje
The highest-rated swim-up hotel in Tenerife. MYND Adeje's Swim-Up Double Room is listed on Booking.com as a dedicated swim-up category – 26 m² with a 10 m² terrace opening directly into the shared pool. A strong Booking.com rating across a large review volume makes this the most thoroughly validated swim-up hotel on the island. Modern property with a rooftop pool, fitness centre, spa and three restaurants in Adeje, six minutes from the beach. Family-friendly, but the beach area around Playa de Ajabo is quieter and less commercial than the central Costa Adeje strip.
H10 Atlantic Sunset Horizons Collection
The 5-star choice for swim-up in Tenerife. The H10 Atlantic Sunset's Swim Up Suite (41 m²) has a terrace with direct access into the main salt-water pool – one of the few swim-up setups in the Canaries using salt water rather than chlorinated fresh water. Ocean-facing at Playa Paraíso. Five pools, spa, and six restaurants on site. Note the minimum age policy (around 12) on the swim-up suites: better suited to couples or older families than those travelling with young children.
Coral Ocean View
The adults-only swim-up pick in Tenerife. The Junior Suite Swim Up at Coral Ocean View opens onto a dedicated pool shared exclusively among the swim-up suite row – a calm 16+ setup with no age-ambiguity or families in the water. Costa Adeje location with ocean views. At €180/night it is the lowest entry price on this list for confirmed swim-up access. The compact size means fewer resort facilities, but for adults who want a quiet pool experience at the best price, this is the right choice.
When to go
Tenerife is a year-round destination – the south stays warm even in winter, which is why it is busy and expensive in both summer and the December–January winter-sun peak. For the best mix of warmth, price and calm, aim for late spring (May–June) or autumn (September–October). One practical note: confirm the exact "swim-up" room name before booking and check the minimum-age rules, which apply at H10 Atlantic Sunset (around 12) and Coral Ocean View (16+).
