Those are entry-level nightly rates outside the December–April peak. Rodney Bay, the Pitons or the south?
For easy beach days, the northwest. The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority describes Reduit Beach in Rodney Bay as a long stretch of golden sand with calm water, restaurants, bars and a lively scene. Most of the island's big resorts are up here.
For the view, the Pitons. Sugar Beach sits between Gros Piton and Petit Piton, with white sand and clear water for swimming and snorkeling. Nearby Anse Chastanet has a coral reef starting just offshore. Both are reached through the resorts on them.
For wind, the south. Coconut Bay faces the Atlantic near Vieux Fort. A reef breaks the surf, but the water is windier and choppier than the west coast's – good for kitesurfing, less so for floating.

Secrets St. Lucia
The couples' all-inclusive. Secrets St. Lucia opened in June 2025 on the site of the former St. James's Club Morgan Bay, after a multiyear renovation. It has 355 rooms on about 30 acres along Choc Bay, and it's adults-only, 18 and over.
The package covers unlimited top-shelf drinks and a long list of à la carte restaurants.

Sandals Grande St. Lucian
The overwater booking. Sandals Grande sits on its own peninsula in Rodney Bay, and the shape of the bay keeps its beach unusually calm. It's couples-only.
Its overwater bungalows come with glass floor panels and hammocks over the water. Twelve restaurants and a swim-up bar fill out the resort.

Royalton Saint Lucia
The family booking. Royalton Saint Lucia, now part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, sits on the beach at Cap Estate, off Smugglers Cove Drive. Children get a kids' club, a children's pool and a game room; there are nine restaurants.
Next door, Royalton Hideaway Saint Lucia is the adults-only (18+) section, with its own infinity pool, beach bar and beach area.

Reduit Beach for less. Bay Gardens Beach Resort is the beach property of the local Bay Gardens group, directly on Reduit Beach. Its beachfront rooms and suites open onto the sand.
There's a kids' club for ages 4–12, and the restaurants and bars of Rodney Bay are a walk away. Reduit is one of the island's most popular beaches, so expect company.

Under the Pitons
Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort
The view. Sugar Beach sits in the Val des Pitons, on the beach between Gros Piton and Petit Piton – the old Jalousie Plantation, a Viceroy since 2012. It's about 45 minutes from Hewanorra airport.
Most rooms are villas and cottages up the valley, many with private plunge pools, and a shuttle runs down to the sand. The Luxury Beachfront Bungalows are the ones on the beach. There's a rainforest spa and butler service throughout.

In the south
Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa
The family booking near the airport. Coconut Bay covers 85 acres and about a mile of beach at Vieux Fort, a few minutes from Hewanorra International. It splits into a family side, Splash, and an adults-only side, Harmony.
Kids get the CocoLand water park and a kids' club. The Atlantic here is windy, and a reef breaks the surf – kitesurfing is the resort's big activity.

When to go
December through May is the dry season, and February and March are the driest months, according to the UK Met Office. December to April is also the peak for prices.
