Jordan's Dead Sea resort strip has two confirmed hotels where a genuine private pool comes with the villa or room – a deliberately short list, since most of the strip's big resorts run on large shared pool decks instead. Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea's Royal Villa and Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea's Premium Pool View Room are the two confirmed exceptions.

Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea
Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea carries the strongest guest rating of any confirmed private-pool stay on the Dead Sea's Jordanian shore. Its Royal Villa spans three master bedrooms across two floors, with a private infinity-edge pool and outdoor whirlpool facing the Dead Sea, a private dining room off a fully equipped kitchen, and its own wellness area with a treatment room, sauna and steam room.
It's worth noting the hotel's separate Ishtar Suite category comes with access to a secluded pool as well – but that pool is shared among Ishtar Suite guests, not private to a single unit, so only the Royal Villa qualifies for a genuine private pool here. At up to nine guests across three bedrooms, the Royal Villa suits a group or extended family rather than a couple looking for a smaller private-pool room.
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea
Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea's Premium Pool View Room category sits in a secluded, adults-only section of the resort village, each room with direct access to its own private pool and Jacuzzi rather than the resort's eight shared pools. Rooms run at least 38 m², with a private balcony or terrace alongside the pool itself.
This is the most accessible confirmed private-pool stay at the Dead Sea, at roughly a quarter of the Kempinski Royal Villa's rate, and the adults-only setting makes it the better match for a couple rather than a family group. The wider resort adds a large spa built around Dead Sea mineral treatments, shared by all guests.
When to go
October through April is the most comfortable window for a Dead Sea stay: daytime temperatures stay manageable for pool time, spa treatments and floating in the mineral-rich water, without the extreme summer heat that regularly pushes past 40°C from June to September. Winter (December–February) is mild by comparison and popular with spa-focused travelers, though desert nights turn cool. Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) near Amman is the main gateway, with transfers to the Dead Sea resort strip running 45–60 minutes depending on traffic. Both confirmed hotels sit in Sweimeh, a few minutes apart, making it easy to compare the two directly.
