Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara
Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara sits on its own private island a short ferry ride from downtown Doha, and confirms private plunge pools in its One Bedroom Sea View Pool Villa and the larger Two Bedroom Luxury Sea View Pool Villa – both official room categories on Anantara's own site, distinct from the resort's shared lagoon pool.
The island setting includes an 800-yard private beach, nine restaurants and the Middle East's only island-based wellness centre, all reachable without leaving the resort's own grounds.
Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som
Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som, on Qatar's northern coast near Al Ruwais, confirms a private pool built into every room and suite category – the widest confirmed private-pool inventory of any hotel in this guide's Qatar cluster. The top-tier Qataf Suite and Zulal Royal Suite add multiple bedrooms and their own infinity pool facing the beach.
This is a dedicated wellness destination centered on Traditional Arabic and Islamic Medicine, with stays typically built around all-inclusive retreat packages rather than a standard room-only rate.
When to go
November through March is Qatar's cooler season and the most comfortable window for a private-pool stay, with daytime temperatures well below the extreme summer heat. April–October gets progressively hotter and more humid, with July and August the most intense months, when many pool villas are used mainly in the early morning or evening. Hamad International Airport (DOH) serves all of Qatar; Banana Island is a roughly 30-minute ferry transfer, while Zulal Wellness Resort is about 90 minutes by road to the country's northern coast.
