When to go
May–June and September are Costa Brava's strongest shoulder-season months for a private-pool stay – warm enough to use the pool daily, without July–August's peak coastal crowds and higher rates. The Empordà countryside inland, where all three properties on this list sit, stays noticeably quieter than the coastal towns even in high season. Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO) is the closest gateway to all three properties, roughly 20–30 minutes by road, while Barcelona-El Prat (BCN) is the larger international option, around 90 minutes away. For destinations further along the coast, Ibiza, Tenerife and Mallorca round out Spain's private-pool villa options.
