What it delivers in return is a degree of seclusion that the larger resort hotels in this guide cannot match – a private cottage, its own garden and pool, and cliff-edge sea views with no neighboring terraces in the sightline. The northeast coast around Canyamel and Cala Rajada is a different Mallorca from the southwest: smaller fishing-village character, pine forests to the beach and less density than Palma Bay or Costa d'en Blanes.
