This is the pick, and the number that decides it is inventory. Cullinan runs more than 100 swim-up rooms in a 600-room resort with 13 pools – so where most hotels in this silo sell you a handful of suites and hope, Cullinan has enough that a July week is a realistic ask rather than a lottery.

Five categories are confirmed. The Superior Room Swim-up is the entry and the hotel is explicit that it opens onto a shared swimming pool; the Lagoon Golf Swim-up and Lagoon Beach Swim-up give direct access to the shared swim-up pool from the golf and beach sides of the property; the Superior Duplex Swim-up is the two-level version; and a Superior Room Swim-up 12+ exists for guests who want the swim-up block without younger children in it.

The duplex rooms open onto heated swim-up pools, and this is the property's real edge in a district where most pools are seasonal. It makes April, May and October work rather than hope.

Kaya Palazzo Golf Resort

Kaya Palazzo does most of what Cullinan does for £160 a night less, and its room naming is the clearest in Belek once you look past the booking sites.

Four swim-up categories sit on the hotel's own site. The Superior Room Swim Up is in the left and right wings of the main Palazzo building, with a terrace opening directly onto one of the swim-up pools. The Swim Up Suite adds a living room and pool-and-sea views. The Duplex Swim Up Suite has two bedrooms over two levels with direct pool access. And the Swim Up Villa is a three-bedroom villa the hotel describes plainly as being with Communal Pool.

That last phrase is worth the trip. Several OTAs list these rooms as "Superior Double Room with Pool Access" or "Suite with pool access", which is vague enough to be a room that merely faces water. The hotel calls them Swim Up and the villa's pool communal – so this is a genuine terrace-into-shared-water product, not a pool-view upgrade.

Suites here also carry entry to the Lagoon Restaurant, the resort's dedicated fine-dining room. The pool heating runs November through March, so the shoulder months are covered even if high winter is not the point.

Rixos Premium Belek

Rixos Premium is the scarcity play on this page, and it is a deliberate one. The Legendary Suite Swim Up is 64 m², sleeps up to four, and steps from its terrace straight into the resort's waterways – and there are exactly fifteen of them in a 700-room property. The pool suites sit among trees, surrounded by the water rather than lined up along one edge of it.

That is the argument and also the warning. Fifteen suites at the best-known resort in Belek means these are the first rooms in the district to disappear, and there is no second tier to fall back on if your week is taken.

The wider property is the reason people come: private sand beach, five restaurants, a full-service spa, and access to The Land of Legends theme park, which is the single biggest draw on this coast for families with older children.

IC Hotels Santai Family Resort

Santai has the most extraordinary piece of water in this entire silo, and the specification is worth quoting straight: the Sun & Star Swim Up Villas Pool covers 3,180 m² at 140 cm deep, and the swim-up villas sit on an island inside it.

Two categories share it. The Sun Swim Up Villa is 37 m², a single large room with a terrace onto the pool, and there are 24 of them. The Star Swim Up Villa is 71 m² with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room, and there are 60. That is 84 swim-up villas in one resort – the deepest single allocation on this page after Cullinan.

The 140 cm depth is not a detail to skip if you have children. It is standing depth for most adults and over the head of a small child, so the pool your villa opens onto is not a paddling pool, and a family booking here needs to plan accordingly.

This is a kids-concept resort with a water park, and it makes no attempt to be anything else. For families that is the appeal; for couples it is a reason to book Kaya Palazzo instead.

Titanic Deluxe Golf Belek

Titanic Deluxe has the most distinctive swim-up rooms in Belek, and the Bali House Swim-up is the reason. These are standalone bungalow-style buildings rather than a wing of a hotel block: a private patio with a pair of loungers, and an oversized glass door that opens onto it, so the water is in view from the bed.

Two more categories sit alongside. The Maldive House is 52 m² for up to three adults, arranged around the resort's Olympic pool with views over the ocean pool and river – the hotel positions it for couples. The Family Pool Suite Swim-up is the larger version for families.

The honest note is the rating: Titanic Deluxe carries the lowest guest scores of the six here, which is what a very large golf resort tends to score against smaller, newer competition. What it has that none of them do is a room you will remember.

Be precise at booking. The resort also sells a Lagoon Duplex Suite with Private Pool and an Exclusive Villa with Private Pool, and neither is a swim-up room.

Belek Beach Resort is the cheapest swim-up room in the district at around £155 all-inclusive, and the category is a real one rather than an OTA fudge. The hotel's own site calls it the Comfort Swim-up Room: 28 m², redesigned in 2022, with a pool-garden view, direct exit to the pool, and two sun loungers plus a shower on the terrace.

What you give up at that price is space and position. 28 m² is the smallest swim-up room on this page by a wide margin – less than half the Rixos suite – and at Boğazak, 36 km from Antalya airport, it is also the longest transfer of the six.

What you get is the format itself, all-inclusive, for roughly a third of what Cullinan charges. In a district where the swim-up room is a standard upgrade tier rather than a luxury product, that arithmetic works.

There are no adults-only swim-up rooms in Belek

This is the district's one real gap, and it is worth stating plainly rather than burying: not one Belek resort with a confirmed swim-up category is adults-only. Belek was built around large family all-inclusives with golf courses attached, and the swim-up room here is a mainstream upgrade tier sold into that market.

Two partial answers exist. Cullinan Belek sells a Superior Room Swim-up 12+, which keeps younger children out of that specific category. Titanic Deluxe's Maldive House is positioned for couples around the Olympic pool rather than the family water, though it carries no age restriction.

If adults-only is non-negotiable, the swim-up room is elsewhere in Turkey. HYDE Bodrum is 18-plus, ultra all-inclusive and the cheapest swim-up room on the Aegean – a completely different format, and the honest answer to this question.

Can you use a Belek swim-up room in winter?

Partly, and only at two of these six. Antalya's coast stays mild but it is not the Red Sea: an unheated pool in December is decorative, and most Belek resorts either close or run reduced service from November to March.

Cullinan Belek heats the pools its duplex swim-up rooms open onto, and Kaya Palazzo runs heating from November through March. Those two are what make an April, May or October booking a plan rather than a gamble, and they are the only ones on this page where a shoulder-season swim-up room is a straightforward yes.

Everywhere else here, treat May to October as the usable window and check the pool heating before you pay for anything outside it.

June and September are the sweet spot – high 20s to low 30s, noticeably quieter resorts, and rates a fifth to a quarter below the summer peak. The sea is warm from June through October.

July and August are the hottest and the most expensive, regularly above 35°C, and the swim-up categories at Cullinan and Kaya Palazzo fill first. Book three to four months out for those weeks.

April, May and October work only at the heated properties – Cullinan and Kaya Palazzo. Everywhere else the air is pleasant and the water is not, and many Belek hotels reduce service or close entirely from November through March.
