Saudi Arabia's new Red Sea coast has three confirmed resorts where a genuine private pool comes with every villa. Six Senses Southern Dunes and Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, both part of The Red Sea Project, and Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay, a few hours up the coast, are the three confirmed exceptions in this newly opened luxury destination.

Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea
Six Senses Southern Dunes, part of the wider Red Sea Project near Umluj, pairs 36 rooms and suites with 40 confirmed pool villas, each with a temperature-controlled pool and design inspired by the shape of the surrounding dunes. Villas range from one-bedroom sunset pool villas to a fully self-sufficient four-bedroom villa with its own kitchen and pantry.
This is the highest-rated confirmed private-pool stay in Saudi Arabia so far, and the widest range of private-pool villa sizes of the three properties in this guide.
Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve
Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve sits on its own private islands within the Ummahat archipelago, part of The Red Sea Project. All 65 villas – both overwater and beachfront – have a confirmed private plunge pool on the terrace, alongside panoramic windows and a telescope for the region's dark night skies.
This is the most exclusive and most expensive confirmed private-pool stay in this guide, reported among the priciest hotels in the Middle East, and the only one where literally every villa on the property carries a private pool as standard.
Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay
Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay opened in June 2026, a few hours up the coast from The Red Sea Project in the separate AMAALA development. Confirmed private-pool categories include a two-bedroom suite with its own private infinity pool and a three-bedroom penthouse Presidential Suite with panoramic sea views.
As the newest of the three confirmed properties, it carries the least independent review history so far, but joins Six Senses Southern Dunes and Nujuma as a third genuine private-pool option on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast.
When to go
October through April is the most comfortable window for Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, with warm but manageable temperatures for pool time, diving and snorkeling on the region's coral reefs. May–September brings intense desert heat, often exceeding 40°C, which most travelers avoid despite lower rates. Both The Red Sea Project (Six Senses Southern Dunes, Nujuma) and AMAALA (Four Seasons) are served by their own dedicated airports built specifically for these destinations, with most guests flying in directly rather than connecting through Jeddah. As a very new luxury destination, expect fewer independent restaurants or towns nearby compared with established resort coasts – most of the experience takes place within the resort itself.
