Best Private Pool Villas in St Vincent & the Grenadines (2026)

Three hotels in St Vincent and the Grenadines put a pool at the room, and they sit on three different islands at prices an order of magnitude apart: from ~$599 on Bequia, from around $700 all-inclusive on the mainland's west coast, and ~$5,000 for the cheapest villa on Canouan. The names that dominate the search results here – Mustique, Petit St Vincent – don't qualify at all.

Those three rates aren't measuring the same thing. The Liming's is room-only, Sandals' covers two people with food, drinks and transfers included, and Canouan's is the entry to a villa collection that runs past $28,000 a night in high season. Two of the three are also too new or too thinly reviewed on Booking.com for a rating band to mean much yet. The private pool villas hub applies the same test everywhere else.

Which St Vincent and the Grenadines private pool villa should you book?

For most travelers, book The Liming Bequia. Every villa on the property has its own infinity pool, the One Bedroom Villa opens at about $599 a night, and Bequia is the Grenadine island you can still reach without chartering anything. Check The Liming's availabilitythere are only nine villas plus a mansion house, and the January–May dry season is when the yachting crowd fills them.

If you want everything paid for up front and a beach you can walk to, book Sandals Saint Vincent – but only in the Butler Elite tier, because that's where the pools are. If the budget genuinely has no ceiling, book a Patio Villa at Mandarin Oriental, Canouan.

The Liming Bequia

The Liming is a Small Luxury Hotels of the World member above Friendship Bay on Bequia's south coast, and the only property in this country where a private pool is the standard, not the top tier. The inventory is nine villas, one Junior Suite and Gingerlily, a five-bedroom mansion house – and every one of them has either an infinity pool or a hot tub of its own.

The rate card is unusually legible for the Caribbean. The Junior Suite runs about $399 but carries a hot tub rather than a pool, so the real entry point to the private-pool product is the One Bedroom Villa at around $599, with its own infinity pool and outdoor living space. Two Bedroom Villas open near $799, and Gingerlily – five ensuite bedrooms, a swimming pool and a separate plunge pool – runs from about $1,299 for a group taking the whole house.

Two things to know before you commit. Guests consistently flag seaweed on the bay, a regional sargassum problem rather than a fault of the hotel, and the property sits far enough from Port Elizabeth that dinner in town means a taxi. Book this one if you want a genuine private infinity pool in the Caribbean without a four-figure nightly rate. Check The Liming Bequia rates – ask for a villa by number, because the Junior Suite is the one unit that doesn't have a pool.

Sandals Saint Vincent

Sandals arrived on St Vincent in March 2024 with 301 rooms and suites across 50 acres at Buccament Bay – the first name-brand resort on the mainland, with 17 restaurants and bars, five resort pools and a Red Lane spa. It's couples-only and all-inclusive, so a rate here covers two people, meals, drinks, tips, watersports and airport transfers.

The private pools sit in four named Beachfront Butler Villa categories, and they're all in the Butler Elite tier at the top of the price list: the Beachfront Butler Villa Suite with Private Pool at 1,114 sq ft, the one-bedroom version with a media room at 1,407 sq ft, the Beachfront Two-Bedroom Butler Villa at 1,631 sq ft, and the largest Beachfront One-Bedroom Butler Villa Suite at 1,723 sq ft. Entry to that tier starts around $700 a night for two, all in.

There's more coming, and it's already bookable. Twenty Rondoval Butler Villas with private pools take their first arrivals on 1 November 2026, running from 1,000 to over 2,000 sq ft, three of them Sky Villas with private rooftop terraces. The resort's headline product, the Vincy Overwater Two Story Villas, is a different thing again – ten of them, over water rather than on the beach, at roughly $3,100 to $3,900 a night.

Book this one if you want the pool, the food and the flights handled in a single transaction. Check Sandals Saint Vincent availability – the pool villas are a small fraction of a 301-room resort, and the November Rondoval release is already taking dates.

Mandarin Oriental, Canouan

This is the Caribbean's deep end. Mandarin Oriental runs 26 suites and 13 villas on a 1,200-acre private estate on Canouan's northeast coast, two miles from the island's own airport, with transfers, butler service and non-motorized watersports folded into the rate.

Every villa has its own pool. The seven Patio Villas come in two- and three-bedroom layouts with a private pool and patio; the six Lagoon Villas add a private infinity pool, a jacuzzi, a full kitchen and your own golf buggy for getting around the estate. Rates are the reason this sits at the bottom of the page rather than the top: Patio Villas open around $5,000 a night, Lagoon Villas from roughly $10,700 in low season and past $28,000 at the peak, before 11% government tax, 10% service and a small nightly climate resiliency charge.

One practical quirk: the Booking.com listing still sits under the property's old name, The Pink Sands Club, which is why searching "Mandarin Oriental Canouan" on some sites turns up nothing. Same hotel, older URL. Book this one if the trip is a milestone and the number attached to it isn't the point. Check Mandarin Oriental Canouan rates – thirteen villas on the whole island, so dates go first and rates follow.

Heads up

Two of the three hotels here sell rooms that look like the pool categories and aren't. At The Liming, the Junior Suite has a private hot tub, not a pool – the pool starts at the One Bedroom Villa. At Sandals, only the four Beachfront Butler Villa categories and the incoming Rondovals have a private pool; the Luxury Rooms and Club Sandals tiers underneath them do not. Get the category name onto the reservation rather than trusting the word villa.

Why the famous Grenadines don't make this list

Ask anyone about luxury in St Vincent and the Grenadines and you'll hear Mustique, Petit St Vincent, Palm Island – not the three hotels above. The gap is structural: those islands aren't in the hotel business.

Mustique is a villa-rental market. The island's stock is privately owned homes let by the week through a single company, so however many pools it has, none of them come with a room reservation. Petit St Vincent is 22 cottages on a 115-acre private island built on the opposite proposition – barefoot luxury, no keys, no televisions, and no private pool marketed on any category. It is a wonderful hotel and it is not a private-pool hotel.

That leaves Canouan, where Mandarin Oriental is effectively the island's only hotel among the estate villas around it, and the mainland, where nothing branded existed until Sandals opened in 2024. The private-pool product in this country is genuinely young: one boutique property on Bequia, one resort tier two years old, and one villa collection priced for a different planet.

Which is why the comparison worth making isn't within these islands but across them. Grenada sits at the southern end of the same chain with a deeper hotel bench, and the Caribbean private pool villas roll-up compares the region island by island. For scale rather than seclusion, Punta Cana puts four confirmed private-pool resorts in one destination.

When to go

January through May is the dry season across St Vincent and the Grenadines, and it doubles as the busiest stretch of Bequia's yachting calendar around Admiralty Bay. That combination is what clears The Liming's nine villas early.

June to December is wetter, and the Atlantic hurricane season runs through it, though the southern Grenadines sit far enough south to see less direct storm activity than islands further north.

Getting there is three different journeys. St Vincent's Argyle International Airport (SVD) takes long-haul and regional flights and serves Sandals directly. Bequia's J.F. Mitchell Airport (EAB) handles small regional aircraft, usually connecting through Barbados, St Vincent or Grenada, and a ferry runs from Kingstown. Canouan has its own airport two miles from the Mandarin Oriental, with the resort arranging transfers. Match the island to the flight you can actually book before you fall in love with a villa.

For a comparably small confirmed shortlist elsewhere in the region, Belize comes down to four properties split across two coasts.
