Punta Cana and Cap Cana have four confirmed hotels where a private pool comes with the room, suite or villa, not shared with the resort's main pools. Zoetry Agua Punta Cana builds a private plunge pool into all 92 rooms. Eden Roc Cap Cana, the Dominican Republic's only Relais & Châteaux member, adds multi-bedroom villas, and Sanctuary Cap Cana and Nickelodeon Punta Cana round out the list with named private-pool suite categories.

Zoetry Agua Punta Cana
Zoetry Agua Punta Cana sits on a relatively undeveloped stretch of beach in Uvero Alto, north of central Punta Cana, and is the only property on this list where a private plunge pool comes standard in every one of its 92 rooms rather than a specific suite tier. The entry Junior Suite Deluxe Oceanfront has a private plunge pool with ocean views; Villa Caribe (two-bedroom), Villa Dominicana (three-bedroom) and the flagship Villa Caney Garden View scale up to larger private pools for groups.
The resort has won the AAA Four Diamond award every year since 2012 and operates on an all-inclusive "Endless Privileges" model covering dining, drinks and most activities.
Uvero Alto's relative distance from Punta Cana's airport – 45 to 60 minutes – is the trade-off for a quieter, less crowded beach than the resorts closer to the main strip.
Eden Roc Cap Cana
Eden Roc Cap Cana is the Dominican Republic's only Relais & Châteaux member hotel, with 60 all-suite accommodations plus two multi-bedroom villas. The Two Bedroom Villa has its own private pool and 2.5 bathrooms; the Four Bedroom Imperial Villa, described as the property's centerpiece, has an open-air courtyard with gardens and cascading waterfalls around its private pool.
The resort has been named Best Hotel in the Dominican Republic, with butler service available across many villa categories and private chef service arranged on request for select residences. Cap Cana's private community setting, at the eastern tip of the country, keeps the resort more secluded than Punta Cana's central hotel strip.
Sanctuary Cap Cana
Sanctuary Cap Cana is a Marriott Luxury Collection adults-only all-inclusive resort, and its Castle section is the confirmed private-pool tier: the Castle One Bedroom Suite and Castle Honeymoon Suite with Private Pool both include a private indoor plunge pool on a furnished terrace, alongside butler service and 24-hour room service.
The Castle section also has its own rooftop pool and bar exclusively for Castle guests, on top of the individual suite pools. Guest reviews note the on-site beach is smaller than some Punta Cana competitors and can carry seaweed at times, a broader regional issue rather than one specific to this resort.
Nickelodeon Punta Cana
Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana, run by Karisma, is a family-oriented all-inclusive brand built around Nickelodeon characters and a water park. The Swank Plunge Pool Suite is the confirmed private-pool category: a 764 sqft second-floor suite with a wraparound terrace, private plunge pool and a round day bed.
Guest reviews are more mixed here than at the other three properties on this list, reflecting the resort's scale and family-resort positioning rather than a boutique luxury experience – this is the pick specifically for families wanting a private pool alongside kids' activities and character entertainment, not for a quiet couples' retreat.
When to go
December–April is Punta Cana's dry season and the most popular window for a private-pool stay, with warm temperatures and minimal rain across both the central Punta Cana/Bavaro strip and Cap Cana. The wet season runs May–November, with the Atlantic hurricane season peaking August–October – the Dominican Republic sits within the hurricane belt, so late-summer bookings carry more weather risk than winter ones. Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) is the main gateway; Uvero Alto properties (Zoetry, Nickelodeon) are 45–60 minutes away, while Cap Cana (Eden Roc, Sanctuary) is closer at around 20–30 minutes.
