When to go
Croatia's Adriatic season runs June through September. July and August are peak: hottest (sea reaches 27°C), most expensive and when swim-up rooms sell out earliest – book 3–4 months ahead for both TUI BLUE properties and Valamar Carolina. June and September are the practical choice for swim-up stays: still warm (sea 22–25°C), noticeably quieter resorts and prices 20–30% below peak. The Makarska Riviera gets busy with domestic tourism in August; island Rab and Rabac stay calmer.
One note on transfers: both TUI BLUE properties are served by Split Airport (SPU). Valamar Carolina on island Rab is served by Rijeka Airport (RJK) plus a short ferry crossing.
