Zakynthos – known to most UK travelers as Zante – has four confirmed swim-up room hotels across Tsilivi and Laganas, from a top-rated adults-only boutique with a communal pool to a family-friendly option two minutes from the airport. The island splits neatly: Tsilivi on the north coast has the highest concentration; Laganas to the south is closer to the airport. This guide gives you the exact room to book and what to pay in 2026.

Zante Maris Suites
The highest-rated swim-up property on Zakynthos. Booking.com describes rooms with "access to a communal pool" – the shared-pool language that confirms a genuine swim-up. Two categories: the Swim up Suite with Sun Deck and the Junior Suite Swim up heated pool, the latter useful for May and October before the sea fully warms. Adults-only (18+), spa, fitness center and Mediterranean restaurant on site. For other top Greek island swim-up options, Rhodes has confirmed shared-pool hotels from €250.
Contessina Hotel
Three confirmed swim-up categories make Contessina the most versatile family option in Tsilivi. The Superior Double Room with Shared Pool is the entry-level swim-up; the Swim Up Pool Suite steps up in space; and the Friends & Family Swim Up Suite sleeps up to five – one of the few swim-up configurations for larger families on Zakynthos. A strong Booking.com rating and 110 meters to the beach make this the standout choice. Three restaurants on site (Greek, Mediterranean, Asian) plus a spa. Children of all ages welcome. For comparable shared-pool options on other Greek islands, Rhodes has confirmed swim-up hotels from €250.
King Jason Zante
The most distinctive pool setup on Zakynthos. The Superior Swim-Up Suite at King Jason gives access to a continuous waterscape of six separate swim-up pools winding through an olive-grove – more pool variety than any other property on this list. Adults-only all-inclusive: food, drinks and the swim-up access are all covered from €350/night, which makes the per-night rate a reasonable comparison against half-board properties at similar prices. A strong pick for couples who want swim-up access across multiple pools without a family resort backdrop.
When to go
May, June and September are the best months – warm Ionian Sea (25–27°C), fewer crowds than the July–August peak and prices well below summer highs. July and August are peak: Tsilivi and Laganas fill up, swim-up room inventory goes quickly and rates jump. October is still swimmable and excellent value, though some smaller properties close after mid-October.
One note for Laganas visitors: Laganas Beach has protected loggerhead sea turtle nesting zones active from June through August. Night swimming is restricted in parts of the bay during this period. The Navagio shipwreck beach on the northwest coast is a must-see day trip – accessible by boat from Porto Vromi, roughly 45 minutes from Tsilivi.
