Dubai has three confirmed shared-pool swim-up hotels – all on or near Palm Jumeirah. Anantara The Palm's lagoon-access rooms open onto a shared lagoon pool running between the overwater villas. Nikki Beach offers ground-floor pool access with a beach-club atmosphere. Rixos The Palm has a wellness room with access to a shared semi-Olympic pool. Note: Atlantis The Palm, Atlantis The Royal and the Waldorf Astoria do not have qualifying swim-up rooms – those resorts have swim-up bars or private plunge pools, not shared-pool swim-up room categories.
The best swim-up room hotels in Dubai
All three have confirmed shared-pool swim-up categories – verified via official hotel factsheets and tour operator descriptions. The pool is explicitly shared between multiple rooms.

Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort
The most complete swim-up hotel in Dubai. Anantara The Palm has four confirmed shared-pool categories: Deluxe Lagoon Access Room, Premier Lagoon Access Room, Deluxe Family Lagoon Access Room and the Lotus Lagoon Access Room – Adults Only (direct access to the adults-only swimming lagoon). The official description is explicit: "step into the surrounding lagoon pool from your terrace." The lagoon winds around the overwater villa wing, shared between multiple rooms – a proper lagoon swim-up, not a plunge pool. Anantara's Thai-influenced interiors give a warmer feel than Dubai's typically glass-and-marble mega-resorts. For swim-up rooms in Thailand Anantara operates similar lagoon-pool properties worldwide.
Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites
The all-inclusive pick. Rixos The Palm's Wellness Room with Pool Access has a terrace with a private plunge pool, beyond which sits a shared semi-Olympic lap pool accessible directly from the terrace. The official factsheet confirms "direct access to the semi-Olympic lap pool and the beach." The lap pool is shared between Wellness Room guests – separate from the private plunge pool on the terrace. Rixos operates ultra all-inclusive (drinks, snacks, entertainment included throughout), which justifies the higher per-night rate in a market where beverages are expensive. Highly rated on Booking.com. For the best-value all-inclusive swim-up comparison, the Turkey Belek swim-up rooms guide shows what ultra-AI delivers at a fraction of the Dubai price.
Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai
The most boutique of the three. Nikki Beach Resort's Luux Pool Access Room (and Signature Suite Pool Access King) sits at ground level with a terrace opening directly onto the shared main pool – with the beach and Arabian Gulf beyond. The resort carries the Nikki Beach brand DNA: poolside DJ sets, upscale beach-club atmosphere and the proximity to the beach that distinguishes it from the Palm Jumeirah hotels. Highly rated on Booking.com. Pricing is flexible – lower in Dubai's shoulder months (May, September) and significantly higher in December and February. A good pick for couples who want pool access in a social, lifestyle-oriented setting rather than a mega-resort.
When to go
Dubai's swim-up room season is November through April – dry, temperatures around 24–30°C, and sea at 23–26°C in January. December and February are peak (events calendar, Dubai Shopping Festival, Dubai World Cup buildup): book 3–4 months ahead. October and March/April are excellent shoulder months – hot enough for pool use, 20–25% cheaper than peak, and noticeably quieter at the pools. May through September is extreme heat (40°C+): the Rixos all-inclusive is your best bet for summer visits since the indoor facilities are included, but the outdoor swim-up experience is limited to early morning and evening.
