Puerto Rico has no adults-only all-inclusive, and none of the kid-free hotels we found sits right on the sand. What it has is a handful of small adults-only hotels, most a short walk from a beach. In San Juan, book Condado Ocean Club: 21 and over, with a pool and Condado Beach about 500 ft away. For an island escape, book El Blok on Vieques, across the street from the beach in Esperanza.

Those are approximate nightly rates for two, before tax, with resort fees and service charges included. All seven were selling rooms when we checked, and Booking.com's house rules bar children at every one of them. The adults-only resorts hub runs the same test in other destinations.
Which adults-only hotel in Puerto Rico should you book?
For most couples, book Condado Ocean Club. It's in Condado, and its minimum check-in age is 21, the highest on this list. Check Condado Ocean Club availability – December through April is the busiest, priciest stretch.
Want an island instead of a city? Book El Blok on Vieques. It's across the street from the beach, in the island's small south-coast village.
| Your trip | Book | Where | The trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Couple, near a San Juan beach | Condado Ocean Club | Condado | A short walk to the sand, not on it |
| A suite with a balcony | O:LV Fifty Five | Condado Lagoon | About 750 ft to the beach |
| The lowest rate | Bali Hotel Isla Verde | Isla Verde | Simpler rooms; the beach is 1,150 ft away |
| Old San Juan's streets | Palacio Provincial | Old San Juan | No beach; a pool instead |
| A social island base | El Blok | Esperanza, Vieques | A ferry or flight from San Juan |
| A quiet inn with a pool | Hacienda Tamarindo | Vieques | A 9-minute walk to the beach |
| Nature and silence | Lejos Eco Retreat | Pilón, Vieques | Sea views, not a beach at the door |
None of these is on the sand. Condado Ocean Club (about 500 ft) and El Blok (across the street) are the closest. If you need to walk straight from your room into the sea, Puerto Rico's adults-only hotels won't do it.
San Juan: Condado, Isla Verde and Old San Juan
Four of the seven are in the capital. Pick by neighborhood: Condado for the hotel strip, Isla Verde for value, Old San Juan for history.
Condado Ocean Club
The couples' booking in San Juan. Booking.com lists no children and a minimum check-in age of 21. Older listings show the hotel as Serafina Beach Hotel.
It has an outdoor pool, a bar, a restaurant serving lunch and a fitness center. Condado Beach is about 500 ft away, a 3-minute walk by Booking.com's count.

Booking.com sells suites here, several with balconies. The nearest beach is about 750 ft away.
From around $340 a night for two, resort fee included. Book this one if you'd trade a few minutes' walk to the beach for more room. Check O:LV Fifty Five rates.
Bali Hotel Adults Only Isla Verde
The value booking. This is the hotel Caribbean Journal called Bali Posh Hotel when it joined Wyndham's Trademark Collection in November 2025. Expect both names in searches.
No children: Booking.com's check-in age is 18, and Expedia's house rules put the minimum guest age at 20. There's an outdoor pool, a spa, a restaurant and a bar. The nearest beach is about 1,150 ft away.

Palacio Provincial San Juan
The Old San Juan booking. Palacio Provincial is a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel, and Booking.com lists no children at the property.
You get a pool and hot tub, a restaurant, a bar and a fitness room. Booking.com's listing highlights a rooftop pool. There's no beach here. You're in the old city's streets instead.
From around $300 a night for two, with a $55 nightly resort fee included. Book this one if Old San Juan, not the beach, is the reason you're going. Check Palacio Provincial rates.
Also kid-free in San Juan
Two more pass the test on Booking.com. They didn't make the grid, but they're worth a look.
- O:Live Boutique Hotel (Condado): a Small Luxury Hotels of the World member with a rooftop infinity pool over Condado Lagoon. Check-in age 18.
- Dreamcatcher by DW (Ocean Park): a guesthouse about 500 ft from Ocean Park Beach, with a pool and vegetarian breakfasts. Check-in age 18.
Vieques: three adults-only hotels on a quieter island
Vieques is a ferry ride or a short flight from the main island. All three hotels here are small, and all three are kid-free.
El Blok
The social island booking. El Blok's own site says it can't accommodate guests under 18. It has 30 rooms, across the street from the beach on Esperanza's Malecón.
There's a restaurant and a rooftop. Booking.com lists beach towels and chairs for every guest, and free parking.
From around $235 a night for two, service charge included. Book this one if you want a social base in Esperanza, with the beach across the street. Check El Blok rates.
Hacienda Tamarindo
The quiet-inn booking. Booking.com's house rules allow no children at Hacienda Tamarindo. Its own site doesn't give a minimum age.
There's an outdoor pool and a terrace. Coconut Beach is about a 9-minute walk, roughly 1,750 ft.
From around $350 a night for two, with a 10% resort fee included. Book this one if you want a small inn with a pool and a short walk to the sand. Check Hacienda Tamarindo rates.
Lejos Eco Retreat
The nature booking. Booking.com lists it as adults-only, with a check-in age of 18.
It's in Vieques' Pilón area, about 5 mi from the bioluminescent bay. The rooms have sea views, and there's an infinity pool and a garden.
From around $300 a night for two. Book this one if you want quiet, views and a pool over a beach scene. We couldn't find it on Expedia, so the link goes to Booking.com. Check Lejos Eco Retreat rates.
Does Puerto Rico do all-inclusive?
Not for adults only. Caribbean Journal, writing in 2021, called Puerto Rico an island that has "seldom been home to an all-inclusive resort." None of the seven adults-only hotels here is an all-inclusive resort.
That's the trade-off. Beyond the breakfast some rates include, you eat out in Condado, Old San Juan or Esperanza.
Want an adults-only all-inclusive in the Caribbean? See Punta Cana, Cancun or Jamaica. For Grace Bay's one adults-only all-inclusive, see Turks and Caicos.
The short version
Condado Ocean Club is the one we'd book first in San Juan. El Blok is the pick on Vieques.
San Juan: Condado Ocean Club. Lowest rate: Bali Hotel Isla Verde. Vieques: El Blok.
When to go
December through April is the dry season and the busiest, most expensive stretch.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, with the highest risk from August through October. Go then only on a refundable rate.
