Boracay is the cheapest place in Asia to sleep beside water you can step into – direct pool access rooms from around $75 a night, less than half what the same thing costs in Bali or Phuket. Four resorts are confirmed with a genuinely shared pool, and Henann Palm Beach Resort is the strongest: ground-floor Premier rooms with a veranda opening onto the pool, on the beachfront at Station 2.

Four rows, not seven – Boracay is a small island and this is the honest extent of the confirmed inventory. All four open onto a shared resort pool rather than a private plunge pool, checked against each hotel's own room pages. The swim-up rooms hub applies the same test everywhere else.
Which Boracay pool access room should you book?
Book Henann Palm Beach Resort. It is the highest-rated of the four, its Premier Room with Direct Pool Access puts a ground-floor veranda with a dinette set and sun lounger straight onto the pool, and it is the only one of these actually on White Beach rather than a few minutes back from it. If the pool matters more than the beachfront address, book Henann Lagoon instead – same room concept, a 1,200 m² lagoon to swim in, and around $50 a night cheaper for a four-minute walk.
If you want the lowest rate on the island, book Fairways & Bluewater at around $75 – with the caveat that it sits at Newcoast, well away from White Beach. And if you want to be in the middle of Station 2, Boracay Uptown has just five pool access rooms opening onto a pool with its own bar.

Henann Palm Beach Resort
The best-rated confirmed pool access hotel on the island, and the only one of the four sitting directly on White Beach. The Premier Room with Direct Pool Access is a ground-floor category with a spacious veranda, an outdoor dinette set and a sun lounger, opening onto the resort pool. There is a swim-up bar and two poolside bars in the same complex.
Station 2 is the middle stretch of White Beach and the liveliest – D'Mall, the restaurants, the bars and the watersports operators are all a short walk, which is exactly the appeal for some people and the problem for others.
At around $150 it is the most expensive on this list, which in Boracay terms still undercuts most pool access rooms in Thailand or Indonesia.

Henann Lagoon Resort
The best pool of the four, and the better value. Henann Lagoon is built around a 1,200 m² lagoon-style swimming pool – a properly large body of water for a 222-room resort – and its Premier room with Direct Pool Access opens onto it from a veranda with the same dinette-and-lounger setup as Palm Beach.
The difference is the address. This one sits inland from White Beach, about a four-minute walk to the sand, which is what buys you roughly $50 a night against its beachfront sister property. On an island where the beach is a two-minute walk from nearly everywhere, that is a small price for a much bigger pool.

Boracay Uptown
The scarce one. Boracay Uptown has exactly five Deluxe Pool Access rooms, on the first floor, with direct access to the ground-floor pool – you step off the doorstep into the water. Each takes up to four people with two queen beds, and breakfast for two is included.
The pool they open onto is the blue-tiled one with a Poolside Bar and wicker beach beds, so the bar sits in the same space you swim in. There is a second infinity pool on the third level with its own bar.
Five rooms is genuinely limited inventory in a resort on the busiest strip of the island. If your dates are fixed, book this one first or not at all – there is no fallback category here.

Fairways and Bluewater Boracay
The cheapest and by far the biggest. Fairways & Bluewater runs more than 850 rooms across 16 room types at Newcoast in the island's north-east, and has recently added a dedicated Pool Access Room category plus a Premier Grand Connecting Room with Pool Access for families.
The scale is the pitch: a golf course, four swimming pools, three swim-up bars, five restaurants, a spa, a zipline and four private beach coves. At around $75 a night it is the lowest confirmed pool access rate in this guide by a clear margin.
The trade-off is real. Newcoast is not White Beach – it is a separate development on the other side of the island, so the famous sunset strip, D'Mall and the restaurant scene all mean a shuttle or a tricycle. Book it if you intend to stay put; it works badly as a base for exploring.

Boracay's "swim-up" listings are usually bars. Several resorts here advertise swim-up bars and pool views without having a pool-access room at all. Search for "direct pool access" and check the room is on the ground or first floor.
Why one hotel group owns this category
Boracay's pool access inventory looks small because the island is small – seven kilometers end to end – but there is a second reason it clusters the way it does. The Henann Group built the category here, and runs it across several of its Boracay properties: Palm Beach and Lagoon above, plus Henann Garden Resort and Henann Prime Beach Resort, each with its own official "Direct Pool Access" room type in the same veranda-onto-the-pool format.
That has a practical upside. The product is consistent – if you have seen one Henann direct pool access room you broadly know what the others are, so you can shop on price and location rather than guessing at what "pool access" means at each property. It is a rare thing in this silo, where the same phrase covers everything from a wading pool to a 700 m lagoon.
The other half of the decision is the station system, which matters more than the hotel. White Beach runs four kilometers down the west coast and is split into three: Station 1 in the north is the widest sand and the upmarket end, Station 2 in the middle is the busiest and where all three White Beach hotels here sit, and Station 3 in the south is quieter and cheaper. Newcoast, where Fairways sits, is not on White Beach at all.
The practical read: if this is a first trip, stay at Station 2 and pay the premium. You will spend most of it walking rather than in transport.
For a bigger version of this market, Bali builds the largest lagoons in Asia under the same "lagoon access" terminology, and Phuket has far deeper pool access inventory across five beaches. Koh Samui is the closest comparison for a small island where the category is scarce and scattered.
When to go
November through May is the dry season – the amihan months, when the north-east wind keeps White Beach calm and the pools usable every day. This is the reliable window and the busy one.
March to May is the hottest and most crowded stretch, taking in Holy Week, when rates climb hardest. November to February is the sweet spot: dry, less humid and cheaper.
June to October is the habagat season, when the south-west monsoon turns the weather changeable and White Beach can get choppy. Rain usually comes in bursts rather than settling in, rates fall a long way, and a pool access room still works – but it is the gamble window rather than the safe one.
