St. Lucia splits in two. The adults-only all-inclusives line the north coast between Castries and Rodney Bay, well over an hour from the international airport at Hewanorra. The Pitons in the southwest get small hotels with plunge pools instead of buffets. For a beach and everything included, book Secrets St. Lucia. For the Pitons, book Ladera, 18 and over. Flying into Hewanorra? Serenity at Coconut Bay is in the south, near the airport.

Those are approximate nightly rates for two, before tax. Secrets, Hideaway and Serenity are all-inclusive; Ladera includes breakfast, and Jade Mountain's lowest rate is room only. All five were selling rooms when we checked, and each states its age rule on its own site or Booking.com. The three Sandals resorts aren't in the grid because we couldn't find them on Booking.com; they're below, with Expedia links.
Which adults-only resort in St. Lucia should you book?
For an all-inclusive beach week, book Secrets St. Lucia. It's on Choc Bay, it sells swim-out rooms, and Booking.com allows no children. Check Secrets St. Lucia availability – December to May is the dry season, and the busiest.
On a budget? Book Royalton Hideaway. Want a butler and your own pool? Book Serenity. Here for the Pitons? Book Ladera.

The all-inclusives: mostly on the north coast
Yes, St. Lucia has plenty of adults-only all-inclusives. Almost all are in the north, around Castries, Rodney Bay and Cap Estate.
Secrets St. Lucia
The beach all-inclusive. Booking.com describes a luxurious adults-only resort and allows no children. It sits on Choc Bay, minutes from Rodney Bay Marina.
The resort was formerly St. James's Club Morgan Bay; Expedia's web address uses that name.
- The plan: Booking.com's rate is all-inclusive, and Secrets calls it Unlimited-Luxury.
- The rooms: 355 in all, each with a balcony or terrace. Swim-out rooms and ocean-front plunge-pool rooms are on the list.
Hewanorra is about 1 hour 20 minutes away by road. From around $550 a night for two, all-inclusive. Book this one if you want a big beach resort with everything in the rate. Check Secrets St. Lucia rates.
Royalton Hideaway Saint Lucia
The value all-inclusive. Booking.com allows no children, with a check-in age of 18. It describes an adults-only all-inclusive on a private cove, on the beach at Cap Estate.
Booking.com lists it as Royalton Hideaway Saint Lucia, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort - Adults Only. Some listings still call it Hideaway at Royalton Saint Lucia.
Know the layout. The family Royalton Saint Lucia is next door, and Booking.com welcomes children of all ages there. Air Canada Vacations says Hideaway guests can use all of Royalton's facilities.
The room list includes swim-out junior suites and Diamond Club rooms. The lowest all-inclusive rate on this list, from around $480 a night for two. Book this one if you want adults-only all-inclusive without the Secrets price. Check Royalton Hideaway rates.
The three Sandals resorts, renamed
Sandals renamed all three. Its own blog says every Sandals resort is 18 and older, by policy, and couples-first by design; friends and solo travelers are welcome. A stay at one includes dining at the other two, and green fees at Cap Estate Golf & Country Club.
- Sandals St. Lucia Grand Bay (formerly Sandals Grande St. Lucian): on a peninsula on Rodney Bay. Sandals lists 12 restaurants and overwater bungalows. Check Sandals St. Lucia Grand Bay rates.
- Sandals St. Lucia La Toc (formerly Sandals Regency La Toc): a hillside estate near Castries, with a sandy beach and villas with a private pool. Check Sandals St. Lucia La Toc rates.
- Sandals St. Lucia Halcyon Beach: the most intimate of the three, a low-rise resort in tropical gardens by the beach. Sandals calls its pool the Caribbean's longest. Check Sandals St. Lucia Halcyon Beach rates.
Pick Grand Bay for the beach and the overwater bungalows, La Toc for a private-pool villa, Halcyon for something quieter. Our St. Lucia overwater bungalows guide covers Grand Bay's bungalows.
Two small all-inclusives
- Calabash Cove (Bonaire Estate, Gros Islet): its own site calls it an all-inclusive, adults-only boutique resort, with swim-up junior suites and water's-edge cottages. It doesn't publish a minimum age. Check Calabash Cove rates.
- StolenTime (Castries, formerly Rendezvous): it bills itself as a beachfront, adults-only wellness resort, all-inclusive. We couldn't find a stated minimum age or a Booking.com listing. Check StolenTime rates.
Check which airport you land at. Hewanorra International (UVF) is in the far south. The north-coast resorts are more than an hour's drive from it; Serenity is close by.
In the south: Serenity at Coconut Bay
Serenity at Coconut Bay
The butler booking. Serenity's own FAQ calls it couples only, welcoming guests 21 years and older, the strictest rule on the island. It has 36 suites, and every suite has a private plunge pool and a butler.
The plan covers gourmet dining, drinks, butler service, private airport transfers and non-motorized water sports, per its FAQ. Booking.com lists it as beachfront, with a private beach area.
One thing to know. It sits beside Coconut Bay Beach Resort, a family resort with an adults-only side called Harmony. Serenity guests can use Coconut Bay's restaurants and facilities, per Serenity's FAQ.
From around $1,610 a night for two, all-inclusive. Book this one if you want privacy, a butler and nobody under 21. Check Serenity at Coconut Bay rates.
The Pitons: small hotels, big views
Around Soufrière, the stays are small, high on the hills and built around the view. None of them sits on a beach.
Ladera
The Pitons booking. Ladera's FAQ says "Couples and Adults only. The minimum age requirement is 18 years." It sits on the volcanic ridge between the two Pitons, and says it's the only resort within the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The suites have one open wall. Booking.com says each suite has a heated private plunge pool facing the Pitons.
Don't expect sand. Ladera is on a ridge, not a beach. Breakfast was included in the rates we saw.
From around $1,650 a night for two. Book this one if waking up to the Pitons matters more than a beach. Check Ladera rates. Want a private pool elsewhere on the island? See private pool villas in St. Lucia.
Jade Mountain
The splurge. Jade Mountain's FAQ says guests must be 16 or older, so teenagers of 16 and 17 can stay. It's built above the 600-acre Anse Chastanet estate.
The rooms are called sanctuaries. Book an Infinity Pool Sanctuary if you want a pool. The entry Sky Jacuzzi Suite has a jacuzzi instead.
For the beach and most dining, Jade Mountain guests use the sister Anse Chastanet resort, which takes children from 8. Booking.com also sells an all-inclusive rate here, at a higher price.
From around $1,655 a night for two, room only. Book this one if this is the trip of a lifetime and the view is the point. Check Jade Mountain rates.
Also adults-only on the west coast
- Rabot Hotel from Hotel Chocolat (near Soufrière): its own FAQ says it welcomes adult guests over 18 exclusively. It's on the 250-year-old Rabot estate, with no beach; Malgretoute beach is about 10 minutes' drive. See Rabot Hotel.
- Ti Kaye (Anse Cochon, north of Soufrière): 33 adults-only cottages on a hillside above the beach, sold with breakfast or all-inclusive. Booking.com allows no children, but it wasn't taking reservations there when we checked. See Ti Kaye.
Looks adults-only, isn't
- Royalton Saint Lucia takes children of all ages. Hideaway is its adults-only neighbor.
- Coconut Bay Beach Resort is a family resort with an adults-only side, Harmony. For a whole resort that's adult, book Serenity next door.
- BodyHoliday at Cap Estate: Booking.com welcomes children over 12.
- Anse Chastanet takes children from 8, per its sister Jade Mountain's FAQ.
The short version
Secrets St. Lucia is the adults-only all-inclusive we'd book first. Ladera is the pick at the Pitons.
All-inclusive: Secrets St. Lucia. For less: Royalton Hideaway. The Pitons: Ladera.
Comparing islands? Our Caribbean adults-only guide gives one pick per island, and Jamaica has the region's widest couples-only choice. For the island's best beaches, family resorts included, see beachfront resorts in St. Lucia. The adults-only resorts hub lists every guide.
When to go
December to May is the dry season and the peak travel season, per Sandals' own St. Lucia weather guide. June to November is the wet season: greener, quieter and often cheaper.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs June through November (NOAA). If you travel then, book a refundable rate and check the resort's own page for its status before you fly.
