The Philippines has three confirmed resorts where a private pool comes with the villa, split between Palawan and Siargao. El Nido Resorts Pangulasian Island in Palawan's Bacuit Bay has the most reliable Booking.com score. Amanpulo, the country's flagship Aman resort, has 18 villas each with its own pool, and Nay Palad Hideaway covers Siargao with a handful of ultra-private villas.

El Nido Resorts Pangulasian Island
El Nido Resorts Pangulasian Island sits on a private island in Bacuit Bay, Palawan, ringed by the limestone karst formations the region is famous for. Of the resort's 42 total villas, the Pool Villa is the specific confirmed category with a private pool: a 22 sqm pool extending from the veranda, designed for couples or small families, with the rest of the island's villas sharing communal pools instead.
Access requires a charter flight arranged through the resort from Manila to El Nido, followed by a boat transfer – there is no scheduled commercial service directly to the island.
The Booking.com score here is strong but based on a notably smaller review sample than most properties in this guide – still a meaningful signal, but worth knowing before treating it as definitive.
Amanpulo
Amanpulo, the Aman group's flagship Philippine resort, occupies the entirety of Pamalican Island in the Cuyo Islands, part of Palawan province. All 18 villas – from the entry One-Bedroom Villa to the Four-Bedroom Villa – include a private swimming pool along with a dedicated cook and maid; the Palawan Villas face west with sunset views and 351 sqm of interior space around a private plunge pool.
Amanpulo does not list on Booking.com, consistent with other Aman properties, so this score is estimated from broader travel media reputation rather than a Booking.com listing. Guests explore the island using a club car (one per bedroom booked), and access is via Amanpulo's own private aircraft from Manila.
Nay Palad Hideaway
Nay Palad Hideaway, formerly Dedon Island Resort, is a 10-villa all-inclusive property on Siargao Island, the Philippines' surfing capital in the country's south. The Coral Villa has its own pool, secluded garden and dining pavilion; the Perlah Villa is a four-bedroom ocean-view villa also confirmed with a private pool.
Siargao is geographically separate from Palawan – this is the only confirmed private-pool resort in this guide located there, reachable via domestic flight to Sayak Airport rather than through Manila–El Nido or Amanpulo's private aircraft routes. Its top-of-the-scale Booking.com rating is based on a single verified review to date – a genuinely thin sample that should be weighed alongside its Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels recognition rather than taken alone.
When to go
November–May is the Philippines' dry season across both Palawan and Siargao, with the calmest seas and least rainfall – this is the reliable window for a private-pool island stay. The wet season runs June–October, coinciding with the country's typhoon season; Palawan sits at the southern edge of the typical typhoon track and is somewhat less exposed than northern and central Philippines, but Siargao is more directly in the path. None of these three islands are reachable by scheduled commercial flight directly – each requires a charter, resort-arranged flight, or a domestic connection followed by a boat transfer, so build extra travel time into any itinerary. For another Southeast Asian island escape with confirmed private-pool villas, see Bali or Koh Samui.
